Welcome back to another quarter!

For our first meeting, MISA will be kicking off the quarter into high gear with a workshop to learn about using GitHub! Github is the world’s leading software development platform that brings together the largest community of developers to discover, share, and build better software. The platform includes various features such as code review, project management, integrations, team management, social coding, documentation, and code hosting.

The workshop will be presented by MISA’s Emerging Technology Officer, Alex LaVallee. He will have a live demo on how to use GitHub. It will be a hands-on workshop, so bring a laptop if you would like to participate (or you can just watch).

This will be a great opportunity to learn how to use the world’s leading software development platform. Code will be provided to you, so coding experience is not required!

Start off the quarter learning about this useful and effective platform while enjoying free pizza and beverages. Also, it is the perfect opportunity to make connections with your classmates! All MISA meetings are eligible for extra credit for most MIS classes in the major. Check with your professor to see if MISA attendance earns you extra credit points.

As always, we hope to see you all there!
